Born and raised in New York City, Spencer graduated from Connecticut College with a degree in the ever-popular trio of Theater, Dance, and Mathematics.

As a collaborator, Spencer prides himself on being exceedingly easy to work with. In theater and film, his wide range of types is always underlined by grounded humor and simple truth.

A classically-trained guitarist from age five, Spencer plays across the city in pit orchestras, for cabaret shows, with bands, and sharing his own music. In addition to guitar, he enjoys playing the piano, drums, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and dobro.

He is grateful to have performed in a wide variety of unique and boundary-pushing works including dancing with David Dorfman Dance at the opening day of the Met Breuer, performing a sensory-based show with BitterSuite at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and creating a full-length, one-take film with an audience at The Prototype Festival.

In addition to his performance work, Spencer applies his math degree and number skills at a variety of organizations, including Gaia Music Collective, Ghostlight Theater Camp, and Budget with Spencer.
